What positions are available within the company and how can I apply?
Please see our current vacancy list. You can apply for a job by either printing off the application form or calling our HR department on 01702 533161.

Will my application be acknowledged?
Owing to the large volume of applications we receive, we regret that we can only contact you (by phone, in the first instance) if you are shortlisted for an interview. We will then write to you with a confirmation letter of your interview. From time to time we may take up references prior to shortlisting.

If I am unsuccessful do I need to apply again?
There is no need to reapply. All applications are kept on file for a period of six months. All applicants suitable for any new positions that may arise will be contacted.

Why do I need my Hepatitis B injection to work within St. Luke’s Healthcare?
Due to the nature of the business we require all staff to have a Hep B course of injections – this is for the safety of the employee. Costs will be covered by St. Luke’s Healthcare.

Do you offer a relocation package/accommodation?
Relocation packages for nurses are available on request, subject to availability and terms and conditions. Accommodation can be provided for up to 3 months, free of charge, subject to availability and terms and conditions.

Does St. Luke’s Healthcare offer Adaptation Courses?
We do offer adaptation places for RMNs, RNMHs or RNLDs. We currently have a waiting list, as places are limited. Once we have received your application form we will add you to our list. We will contact you as soon as we have a place available. Unfortunately we cannot estimate how long this will take.

From the 1st of April 2005 the NMC has introduced new arrangements for the registration of overseas nurses, which will require all overseas applicants to undertake at least 20 days of protected learning in the UK and, for most, a period of supervised practice. This is required to ensure that all applicants are fit to practise prior to entering the NMC register.

What if I need a work permit?
Work permits for nurses can be arranged by St Luke’s Healthcare.

Please see the Home Office work permits website for details. If you are a nurse and have a work permit with another organisation you are allowed under the supplementary rules to work for our bank team for up to 20 hours per week, subject to terms and conditions.
